DryShips Inc (DRYS) Dryships is an international owner of drybulk carriers and offshore support vessels. As of Mar. 10, 2017, Co. owned a fleet of 13 Panamax drybulk carriers, which have a combined deadweight tonnage (dwt) of approx. 1.0 million dwt and an average age of approx. 13.5 years, one VLCC and one Aframax tanker newbuilding, 2 VLGC newbuildings, and six offshore supply vessels and four oil spill recovery vessels and have an average age of approx. 4.0 years. Co.'s drybulk carriers and offshore support vessels operate worldwide within the trading limits imposed by Co.'s insurance terms and do not operate in areas where United States, European Union or United Nations sanctions have been imposed.
